   请坐在这里。 qǐng zuòzài zhèlǐ — Please sit here.

2. to take (a bus, train, airplane, etc.)

   我坐火车去上海。 wǒ zuòhuǒchē qù shànghǎi — I take the train to Shanghai.

3. to bear fruit (of a tree or plant)

   这棵苹果树今年坐了很多果子。 zhè kē píngguǒshù jīnnián zuò le hěnduō guǒzi — This apple tree bore a lot of fruit this year.

4. surname Zuo

   我的邻居姓坐，是位老教师。 wǒ de línjū xìng zuò shì wèi lǎo jiàoshī — My neighbor's surname is Zuo; he is a retired teacher.
