   酒分为上品、中品和下品三等。 jiǔ fēnwéi shàngpǐn zhōng pǐn hé xiàpǐn sānděng — Wine is divided into three grades: high, medium and low quality.

3. character; disposition; nature; temperament

   这位老师为人有品，深受学生敬重。 zhèwèi lǎoshī wéi rén yǒu pǐn shēnshòu xuéshēng jìngzhòng — This teacher has fine character and is deeply respected by students.

4. to taste something; to sample

   请大家品一品这道新菜的味道。 qǐng dàjiā pǐn yīpǐn zhè dào xīn cài de wèidào — Everyone, please taste the flavor of this new dish.
