   老师的问题启发了学生思考。 lǎoshī de wèntí qǐfā le xuéshēng sīkǎo — The teacher's question stimulated the students' thinking.

2. enlightenment; revelation; a source of inspiration or motivation

   读完这本书我得到了很多启发。 dúwán zhè běnshū wǒ dédào le hěnduō qǐfā — After finishing this book I gained a lot of inspiration.
