1. repeatedly; over and over

   他反复检查答案，还是不放心。 tā fǎnfù jiǎnchá dáàn háishì bùfàng xīn — He checked the answers repeatedly but still wasn't reassured.

2. to turn over; to flip; to upend

   风把小船反复吹翻了几次。 fēng bǎ xiǎochuán fǎnfù chuī fān le jǐcì — The wind flipped the small boat over several times.

3. unstable; recurrent; (of an illness) to return/relapse; to come and go

   他的咳嗽反复发作，需要进一步检查。 tā de késòu fǎnfù fāzuò xūyào jìnyíbù jiǎnchá — His cough recurs repeatedly and needs further examination.
