1. to create (an original work); to produce original content

   我们鼓励学生原创，不要抄袭别人的作品。 wǒmen gǔlì xuéshēng yuánchuàng búyào chāoxí biérén de zuòpǐn — We encourage students to create original work; don't plagiarize others' pieces.

2. original (not copied); novel

   这是一档原创节目，内容很有创意。 zhè shì yīdàng yuánchuàng jiémù nèiróng hěn yǒu chuàngyì — This is an original program; the content is very creative.

3. original creation; original work (as opposed to a copy or adaptation)

   这篇文章是作者的原创，未经允许不得转载。 zhè piānwénzhāng shì zuòzhě de yuánchuàng wèijīng yǔnxǔ bùdé zhuǎnzǎi — This article is the author's original work; reproduction is not allowed without permission.
