2. pressure (force applied)

   轮胎需要保持适当的气压。 lúntāi xūyào bǎochí shìdàng de qìyā — Tires need to maintain proper air pressure.

1. variant pronunciation used only in certain compounds (e.g. 压根儿, 压马路, 压板)

   他压根儿没去参加聚会。 tā yàgēnér méiqù cānjiā jùhuì — He didn't go to the party at all.
