   在古代，铁匠也被称作博士。 zài gǔdài tiějiàng yě bèichēngzuò bóshì — In ancient times, blacksmiths were sometimes called 'boshi'.

3. (old) court academician; scholar in imperial court

   史书上记载着数位担任过博士的学者。 shǐshū shàng jìzǎi zhāoshù wèi dānrèn guò bóshì de xuézhě — Historical records note several scholars who served as boshi (court academicians).
