   车的前面有很多人。 chē de qiánmiàn yǒu hěnduō rén — There are many people in front of the vehicle.

2. ahead; in front (used as an adverb: earlier in time or earlier in a sequence)

   我们前面说过这个问题。 wǒmen qiánmiàn shuō guò zhège wèntí — We mentioned this issue earlier.

3. the preceding part or above (e.g., earlier section in a text; literally 'above')
