   法官判定被告有罪。 fǎguān pàndìng bèigào yǒuzuì — The judge determined the defendant was guilty.

2. judgment; determination (the result or conclusion of judging)

   警方的初步判定是事故由司机失误引起。 jǐngfāng de chūbù pàndìng shì shìgù yóu sījī shīwù yǐnqǐ — The police's preliminary determination is that the accident was caused by driver error.
