划 — huá

1. to row; to paddle (a boat)

   我们周末去划船吧。 wǒmen zhōumò qù huáchuán ba — Let's go rowing this weekend.

2. profitable; worth it; it pays (to do something)

   这笔买卖很划算，值得做。 zhèbǐ mǎimài hěn huásuàn zhíde zuò — This deal is very worthwhile and worth doing.

3. to cut; to slash; to scratch (make a cut in the surface); to strike (a match)

   他不小心把手划破了。 tā bùxiǎo xīn bǎshǒu huàpò le — He accidentally cut his hand.

1. to delimit; to divide; to assign; to plan; to draw (a line)

   政府刚刚划定了新的行政区划。 zhèngfǔ gānggāng huàdìng le xīn de xíngzhèngqūhuà — The government has just delineated new administrative divisions.
