切换 — qiēhuàn

1. to switch over (from one thing to another)

   我们现在把话题切换到下一项。 wǒmen xiànzài bǎ huàtí qièhuàn dào xià yīxiàng — Now we'll switch the topic to the next item.

2. to switch modes or data streams (technical usage)

   路由器会在两条数据流之间自动切换。 lùyóuqì huì zài liǎngtiáo shùjùliú zhījiān zìdòng qièhuàn — The router will automatically switch between the two data streams.

3. to cut (to a new scene) — film/TV editing term

   导演要求剪辑师把镜头切换到主角的脸上。 dǎoyǎn yāoqiú jiǎnjí shī bǎ jìngtóu qièhuàn dào zhǔjué de liǎnshàng — The director asked the editor to cut the shot to the protagonist's face.
