出口 — chūkǒu

1. an exit; way out

   这栋楼只有一个紧急出口。 zhèdòng lóu zhǐyǒu yígè jǐnjí chūkǒu — This building has only one emergency exit.

2. to speak; to say (something aloud)

   他一出口就被大家打断了。 tā yī chūkǒu jiù bèi dàjiā dǎduàn le — He was interrupted as soon as he began to speak.

3. to export (goods); export (trade)

   公司计划今年出口更多电子产品。 gōngsī jìhuà jīnnián chūkǒu gèngduō diànzichǎnpǐn — The company plans to export more electronic products this year.

4. (of a ship) to leave port; to set sail

   船预计今晚十点出口。 chuán yùjì jīnwǎn shídiǎn chūkǒu — The ship is scheduled to leave port at ten o'clock tonight.
