出动 — chūdòng

1. to start out; to set off on a trip

   我们明早出动，赶在暴雨来之前到达营地。 wǒmen míngzǎo chūdòng gǎnzài bàoyǔ lái zhīqián dàodá yíngdì — We'll set off tomorrow morning to reach the camp before the heavy rain.

2. to dispatch troops; to mobilize (forces)

   紧急情况下，政府可以出动军队维持秩序。 jǐnjíqíngkuàng xià zhèngfǔ kěyǐ chūdòng jūnduì wéichízhìxù — In an emergency the government can dispatch troops to maintain order.
