出入 — chūrù

1. to go out and come in; to enter and leave (a place)

   他每天早上都在楼下出入很频繁。 tā měitiān zǎoshàng dōu zài lóuxià chūrù hěn pínfán — He goes in and out downstairs very frequently every morning.

2. entrance and exit; doorway; access

   请把行李放在出入口处，别挡着门。 qǐng bǎ xínglǐ fàngzài chū rùkǒuchù bié dǎng zhe mén — Please put the luggage at the entrance/exit; don't block the door.

3. expenditure and income; financial inflow and outflow

   公司要定期统计出入，确保账目清楚。 gōngsī yào dìngqī tǒngjì chūrù quèbǎo zhàngmù qīngchǔ — The company must regularly tally expenditures and income to keep the accounts clear.

4. discrepancy; difference (between figures, accounts, statements)

   审计中发现出入，需要进一步调查。 shěnjì zhōng fāxiàn chūrù xūyào jìnyíbù diàochá — The audit found discrepancies; further investigation is needed.

5. inconsistent; contradictory (not matching)

   他的说法前后出入很大，没人相信了。 tā de shuōfǎ qiánhòu chūrù hěndà méirén xiāngxìn le — His statements are greatly inconsistent; nobody believes him anymore.
