1. protruding; sticking out; convex

   那块岩石在路中央凸出，行人要小心。 nàkuài yánshí zài lù zhōngyāng tūchū xíngrén yào xiǎoxīn — That rock protrudes in the middle of the road; pedestrians should be careful.

2. convex (shape); bulging outward

   这个镜片是凸面的，可以放大影像。 zhège jìngpiàn shì tūmiàn de kěyǐ fàngdà yǐngxiàng — This lens is convex and can magnify images.

3. male (connector, plug) — the projecting/insert part

   请确认是否使用凸头插头而不是母座。 qǐng quèrèn shìfǒu shǐyòng tū tóu chātóu ér búshì mǔ zuò — Please check whether you are using a male plug rather than a female socket.
