1. to freeze (become solid because of cold)

   水在低温下会冻成冰。 shuǐ zài dīwēn xià huì dòngchéng bīng — Water will freeze into ice at low temperatures.

2. to feel very cold (to be chilled)

   外面刮风，我冻得直发抖。 wàimiàn guāfēng wǒ dòngdé zhífādǒu — It's windy outside; I'm shivering from the cold.

3. aspic; jelly (meat or vegetable set in gelatin)

   这道菜是用鸡肉冻做的，很受欢迎。 zhè dàocài shì yòng jīròu dòng zuò de hěn shòuhuānyíng — This dish is made with chicken aspic and is very popular.
