2. to hold two or more (official) posts at the same time

   在那段时期，他兼任党委书记和厂长。 zài nàduàn shíqī tā jiānrèn dǎngwěishūjì hé chǎngzhǎng — During that period, he concurrently served as party secretary and factory director.
