1. to tend toward; to prefer; to incline (to one side)

   他偏向数学而不是文科。 tā piānxiàng shùxué ér búshì wénkē — He leans toward math rather than the humanities.

2. erroneous tendency or bias (esp. political: Leftist or Revisionist deviation)

   党的领导指出存在左倾偏向。 dǎngdelǐngdǎo zhǐchū cúnzài zuǒqīng piānxiàng — The party leadership pointed out the existence of a Leftist tendency.
