1. fake; false; counterfeit; artificial

   这是假货，不是正品。 zhè shì jiǎhuò búshì zhèngpǐn — This is a fake product, not an authentic one.

2. to borrow (literary/archaic use)

   假道伐虢，是春秋时著名的计谋。 jiǎdào fá guó shì chūnqiū shí zhùmíng de jìmóu — Borrowing the road to attack Guo was a famous stratagem of the Spring and Autumn period.

3. if; suppose (conjunction; literary or spoken conditional)

   假你明天来，我们就一起去。 jiǎ nǐ míngtiān lái wǒmen jiù yìqǐ qù — If you come tomorrow, we'll go together.

假 — gēi

1. slang: phony, showy, pretentious (Taiwanese: 假掰)

   他那个人很假掰，说话都是做作的。 tā nàge rén hěn jiǎ bāi shuōhuà dōu shì zuòzuò de — He's very fake/pretentious; everything he says is affected.

假 — jià

1. vacation; holiday; day off (假期)

   暑假我会去旅行。 shǔjià wǒhuì qù lǚxíng — I'll travel during summer vacation.
