保管 — bǎoguǎn

1. to hold in safekeeping; to take care of; to be responsible for keeping something

   请把这些文件交给我保管。 qǐng bǎ zhèxiē wénjiàn jiāogěi wǒ bǎoguǎn — Please hand these documents to me for safekeeping.

2. to guarantee; to ensure; to be sure about something

   你放心，我保管这件事不会出错。 nǐ fàngxīn wǒ bǎoguǎn zhèjiàn shì búhuì chūcuò — Don't worry, I guarantee that nothing will go wrong with this matter.

3. certainly; surely (used to emphasize certainty)

   按这个方法做，保管能成功。 àn zhège fāngfǎ zuò bǎoguǎn néng chénggōng — Do it this way and it will surely succeed.

4. custodian; caretaker; curator (person who looks after or manages something)

   仓库的保管负责管理这批货物。 cāngkù de bǎoguǎn fùzéguǎnlǐ zhè pī huòwù — The warehouse custodian is in charge of managing this batch of goods.
