作出 — zuòchū

1. to put out; to produce or publish (something)

   公司已作出公告，解释产品问题。 gōngsī yǐ zuòchū gōnggào jiěshì chǎnpǐn wèntí — The company has issued a statement explaining the product problem.

2. to come up with; to produce (an idea, plan, proposal, response, comment)

   他在会上作出了一项新的提议。 tā zài huìshàng zuòchū le yīxiàng xīn de tíyì — He came up with a new proposal at the meeting.

3. to issue (a permit, statement, explanation, apology, reassurance to the public)

   政府已作出正式道歉并承诺改善措施。 zhèngfǔ yǐ zuòchū zhèngshì dàoqiàn bìng chéngnuò gǎishàn cuòshī — The government has issued a formal apology and promised corrective measures.

4. to draw (a conclusion)

   根据这些证据，我们可以作出结论。 gēnjù zhèxiē zhèngjù wǒmen kěyǐ zuòchū jiélùn — Based on this evidence, we can draw a conclusion.

5. to deliver (a speech, judgment)

   法官将于明天作出判决。 fǎguān jiāng yú míngtiān zuòchū pànjué — The judge will deliver the judgment tomorrow.

6. to devise or formulate (an explanation)

   研究人员正试图作出合理的解释。 yánjiū rényuán zhèngshìtú zuòchū hélǐ de jiěshì — Researchers are trying to devise a plausible explanation.

7. to extract
