   他的作为让大家很感动。 tā de zuòwéi ràng dàjiā hěn gǎndòng — His actions moved everyone deeply.

2. to act as; to serve as (in a role or capacity)

   他作为班长，负责组织活动。 tā zuòwéi bānzhǎng fùzé zǔzhī huódòng — He acts as the class monitor and is responsible for organizing activities.

3. as; to view/consider sth as; to take sth to be

   我们不应该把失败作为放弃的借口。 wǒmen bù yīnggāi bǎ shībài zuòwéi fàngqì de jièkǒu — We shouldn't take failure as an excuse to give up.
