休闲 — xiūxián

1. leisure; relaxation (time spent not working)

   周末我喜欢做一些休闲活动，比如散步和看电影。 zhōumò wǒ xǐhuān zuò yīxiē xiūxiánhuódòng bǐrú sànbù hé kàn diànyǐng — On weekends I like to do some leisure activities, such as walking and watching movies.

2. not working; idle; unoccupied (of people or things)

   他退休后过着休闲的日子。 tā tuìxiū hòu guò zhe xiūxián de rìzi — After retiring, he leads a leisurely life.

3. to enjoy leisure; to be idle; (of land) to lie fallow

   这个周末我们去海边休闲几天，放松一下。 zhège zhōumò wǒmen qù hǎibiān xiūxián jǐtiān fàngsōng yīxià — This weekend we'll go to the seaside to relax for a few days.
