   他仍在办公室工作。 tā réng zài bàngōngshì gōngzuò — He is still working in the office.

2. to remain; to stay (be left in a state or place)

   几十年过去，这本旧书仍在他的书架上。 jǐshínián guòqù zhèběn jiùshū réng zài tā de shūjiàshàng — Decades have passed, yet this old book still remains on his shelf.

3. (literary) frequently; often

   他仍以诗酒自娱，乐在其中。 tā réngyǐ shī jiǔ zìyú lèzàiqízhōng — He frequently entertained himself with poetry and wine, finding joy in it. (literary)
