人次 — réncì

1. person-times; a unit counting the sum of persons participating (e.g. 3人次 = three person-times)

   今天博物馆接待了五千人次的参观者。 jīntiān bówùguǎn jiēdài le wǔqiān réncì de cānguānzhě — The museum received 5,000 person-times of visitors today.

2. number of visits (times people visited a place or service)

   上个月医院门诊人次数有所上升。 shànggèyuè yīyuàn ménzhěn rén cìshù yǒusuǒ shàngshēng — The outpatient visits at the hospital rose last month.

3. classifier (measure word) used to count the number of people participating or the sum of participations

   今年活动累计达到一万人次。 jīnnián huódòng lěijì dádào yī wànréncì — This year the event reached ten thousand visits in total.
