1. that's fine; may as well (used to indicate acceptance or indifference)

   我们不去也好，就在家休息吧。 wǒmen bù qù yěhǎo jiù zàijiā xiūxī ba — It's fine if we don't go; let's just rest at home.

2. (reduplicated) regardless of whether ... or ...; either ... or ... (used to list alternatives without preference)

   他来也好，不来也好，消息迟早会传到。 tā lái yěhǎo bùlái yěhǎo xiāoxī chízǎohuì chuándào — Whether he comes or not, the news will arrive sooner or later.
