1. to not count; to not be considered (as)

   这次失败不算什么，我们还有机会。 zhècì shībài bùsuànshénme wǒmen háiyǒu jīhuì — This failure doesn't count for much; we still have a chance.

2. to be of little weight/importance; to not carry weight

   他的话在这里不算，别理他。 tā dehuà zài zhèlǐ bùsuàn biélǐ tā — His words don't count here; ignore him.
