   上空乌云密布，看来要下雨了。 shàngkōng wūyúnmìbù kànlái yào xiàyǔ le — Dark clouds filled the sky above; it looks like it's going to rain.

2. (aviation) airspace

   飞机正在进入管制上空，请注意无线电联络。 fēijī zhèngzài jìnrù guǎnzhì shàngkōng qǐng zhùyì wúxiàndiàn liánluò — The plane is entering controlled airspace; please monitor the radio contact.

3. (Taiwan, colloquial) topless

   海滩上有人赤膊上空晒太阳，引来很多围观。 hǎitān shàng yǒurén chìbó shàngkōng shàitàiyáng yǐnlái hěnduō wéiguān — On the beach someone was sunbathing topless, drawing a lot of attention.
