一会儿 — yīhuìr

1. a short period of time; a little while

   我只要等一会儿。 wǒ zhǐyào děng yīhuìer — I'll only wait for a little while.

2. in a moment; soon; (used to indicate something will happen shortly)

   我一会儿就回来。 wǒ yīhuìer jiù huílái — I'll be back in a moment.

3. now...now...; used in colloquial speech to describe alternating or quickly changing states

   他一会儿高兴，一会儿又生气。 tā yīhuìer gāoxìng yīhuìer yòu shēngqì — He is happy one moment and angry the next.
